1 – Favicon
A Favicon is the small square image at the top of your browser address bar. This is great for branding, but it also allows viewers to find your website easily when you have multiple browsers open – you can also save it to your favorites! Overall, it’s a small quick way to help your brand stand out.
2 – Brand Statement
It is important for your viewers to know who you are and what you do as soon as they visit your website. This should be a brief 2-3 sentences that easily identify who you are and what you do as a business.
3 – Email Subscription Box
Email marketing is the best way to stay engaged and continue to serve and build relationships with your website visitors! It’s a great way to reach them once they leave your website and keep you top of mind. Adding a subscription box to your homepage is a great way to stay connected.
4- Call to actions
What actions do you want people to take when they visit to your website? This needs to be clear on your homepage. For example, if I want people to read your latest blog or sign up for your freebie, there needs to be a clear way for your viewer to easily take action.
5 – Social media
If you are on social media, the icons and direct links should be somewhere on your site – typically the footer. I also like to add the actual feed of the top performing platform. It’s a fun way to add an additional visual component to your website as well as giving your viewers a sneak peak of what you share on social media.
This allows your viewers to change the contrast of your website, font size, etc. This feature allows people with disabilities to have full access to your website.
